First Favourite – Horse Racing Tipster
The Brief
Mel approached us to revamp his existing website for his horse race tipping service. The website needed to provide the users the ability to sign up to a monthly PayPal or Clickbank subscription which is linked to their user access to the site.
When a user cancels their membership subscription the website revokes access to the members area.
Our Approach
With this project our implementation strategy was very important as it always is when we are updating an existing website rather than starting from scratch.
In these circumstances we clone the site over to our development area where we can safely make all the changes, test them and have the client sign off.
For this project when we were ready to go live we agreed a suitable “out of hours” window where we could make migrate the site to “live” followed by some live testing to ensure the integrations with the Clickbank payment gateway were still working.
The Results
Mel continues to provide his tipping service to an increasing number of punters. The website automates the management of his clients by automatically revoking access to his service when they cancel their payment subscription allowing him the time to do what he does best and pick out those winning horses!
